奈良市環境清美部収集課の男性職員（４２）（懲戒免職）が病気を 理由に５年間で８日しか出勤していなかった問題が明るみに出たことで部落解放同盟には「部落解放同盟に入って部落民になりたい」
という若者からの問い合わせが殺到している。これについて部落解放同盟の幹部は「部落民というのは希望してなれるものではなく、先祖から受け継いだものだ。」と回答しているが、 若者からは「先祖が部落民でないからといって部落民になれないのはおかしい。部落解放同盟は希望者が全員部落民になれるような社会制度を目指すべき。不当な差別は即刻やめるべき」として、希望を受け入れない幹部に反発している。
